Exemple for a 7 nights russians cruises

Imagin a 38 meters long river-boat navigating on the Rhone river , for 6 priviledged passengers
and a team of 4 persons at their disposal.
Spring time is definitely much nicer from the river. Between lands of history and majestuous river
banks, our boat reveals the beauty and the scenery of each site to our 6 guests during one full
charming week in Provence.
In order to provide a full enjoyment, we will welcome you on board starting May 1st in Avignon.
We will remain docked in Avignon for 2 nights so you can enjoy our relaxing pool that will have to
be emptied on May 3rd which will be our first navigating day.

Visit of wine growers in Tavel, Chateauneuf du pape, Gigondas and Beaumes de Venise
Vine cultivation, already known to the Gauls, was widely developed by the Romans. Monks
were the first to clear the land and cultivate these vineyards and Bishops were instrumental in
extending vine cultivation. In 1157, in keeping with Roman tradition, Geoffrey, the Bishop of
Avignon, planted vines and personally managed his own estate and was most certainly the
owner of a vineyard located in his fief in Châteauneuf.
In the 13th century the village of Châteauneuf, with its 1000 inhabitants, grew rich and had
already developed a flourishing vineyard (approximately 300 hectares).
In 1308, Clément V planted additional vine stock before he died some years later just after
crossing the Rhône to return home. The Pope at Avignon was undoubtedly one of the first wine
producers in Châteauneuf.
Beaumes-de-Venise is a village in the Rhone valley, just east of the town of Orange. It is the home
of the famous Muscat Beaumes-de-Venise sweet white wines, which have been made here since the
14th century, and were granted their own controlled appellation in 1945.
Dinner at Christian Etienne (Avignon)
Master Chef of France Already as a young boy, Christian Etienne was sure he would become a
cook. He longed to create that spark of joy that he saw coming from the kitchens of his mother and
grandmother, where, during the big family meals, the cooks put all their love into the preparation of
the sun-filled specialties of Provence. So, after completing his apprenticeship in his native region,
he traveled north to Paris, city where all the great cooks of France learn their trade.
At the Ritz, then at the Intercontinental, Christian Etienne began honing his skills as cooker's help.
He returned to the Ritz as sous-chef, where he broadened and deepened his knowledge, but he
longed to return to his beloved Provence, and so he shortly went home to Avignon and opened his
first restaurant where he shared his chef's expertise, magnifying the wealth of southern French
cuisine.
Within the space of a few years, his talent attracted the local folk, as well as connoisseurs passing
through. He obtained his first star in the famous Michelin guide, and became a "Maître Cuisinier de
France" - a Master Chef of France - a select group of recognized French chefs. It was at that point
that he decided to offer to his guests one of the most beautiful palaces in Avignon. He installed his
new restaurant in a historic monument next to the famous Palace of the Popes, a palace that had
housed many historic personalities, a place of beauty quite fitting to his

which it is a subprefecture, in the former province of Provence.
A large part of the Camargue is located on the territory of the commune, making it the largest
commune in Metropolitan France in terms of territory (though Maripasoula, French Guiana is much
larger. The city has a long history, and was of considerable importance in the Roman province of
Gallia Narbonensis. The Roman and Romanesque Monuments of Arles were listed as UNESCO
World Heritage Sites in 1981. The Dutch post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh lived in
Arles in 1888-1889 and produced over 300 paintings and drawings during his time there. An
